The cult's creed: Our guiding principles

Welcome, initiate, to the foundational tenets of The Cult. This page outlines the principles and expectations that bind us, ensuring a harmonious and focused journey for all who walk this path. Understanding and embracing these rules is crucial for our collective growth and the strength of our community.

Etiquette & Flow

We aim to create a fun and chill environment for all players. Through tried and true efforts we have developed a way we do things and expect others to help maintain that. We will not tolerate toxicity for very long.

  • If you would like to raid please make sure you actually sign up in discord!
  • Invites are subject to rank and group composition.
  • You must submit a gear check in the "gear check" channel to be considered for 40man raiding.
  • Make sure to have required consumes for raids
  • Be logged in >before< first pull so we can get invites out and be ready and on time.
  • Watch your comms, do not speak over officers/leads. We love to have a good time but raid leads and tanks need to have the floor before and during fights.

SR Rules

  • 2 SRs in 40 man Raids that are not progression runs.
  • No duplicate SRs (you can not pick the same item twice to get 2 rolls)
  • Before raid you may be asked to change your SR if you are new.
  • Please SR with thought and direction, respect your fellow raiders.

Rolling Rules:
  • Rolling should be completed before the countdown to be eligible.
  • Rolling is Main spec > Off spec > Tmog(if not a trash drop)
  • use /roll 99 for off spec and /roll 98 for tmog

HR and Loot Council info:
  • Items in HR list are predetermined OR are up to loot council
  • Sometimes on a roll you may be denied depending on a few factors. Same with SRs please roll with thought and respect to others.

New Players in Raid:

This applies to New Players in <The Cult> raids that have been with the guild for less than 2 weeks; SR rules: +Use the signup!! Players on the sign up will be prioritized. +Cannot SR items off last 2 bosses. After 2 week intermission, they will be allowed to SR loot on last 2 bosses unless there is a LC objection. +If bringing an ALT, raid leader or officer must be informed, and approved. +Must pass a gear check. Be hit capped. Enchants are expected. +Have and use consumables. +Failure to follow these rules may result in bench or kick.

Players and Progression
Progression is a moving target as we get further and further into content. Guild determines raid progression complete once we shift to the 2SR system. The last bosses in each raid can be subject to LC. New players in <The Cult> Progression rules:
  • Sign up. If you cannot make the raid put tentative or absent.
  • Players who signup will be prioritized on the invite list. You may be removed or kicked if you are not signed up during group adjustments.
  • If running progression, loot is generally left to LC. Defer to the sign up if in doubt.
  • ALTs are not permitted in progression runs unless Raid Leader has given approval. Please inform an officer if you want to bring your ALT ahead of the scheduled raid.
  • Must pass a gear check. Be hit capped. Enchants are expected.
  • Have and use consumables.
  • Failure to follow these rules may result in bench or kick.

  • Veteran players returning without advance notice will be held to the 2 week SR rules and cannot SR items from last 2 bosses within the first 2 weeks.
  • Must pass a gear check. Be hit capped. Enchants are expected.
  • Have and use consumables.
  • Failure to follow these rules may result in bench or kick.
