Blackwing Lair
Blackwing Lair can be found at the very height of Blackrock Spire and is a 40-man raid instance. It is there in the dark recesses of the mountain's peak that Nefarian has begun to unfold the final stages of his plan to destroy Ragnaros once and for all and lead his army to undisputed supremacy over all the races of Azeroth. To this end, he has recently begun efforts to bolster his forces, much as his father Deathwing had attempted to do in ages past.

Razorgore The Untamed
Razorgore the Untamed is the first boss in blackwing lair. As one of the higher ranking Black Dragons, Razorgore was tasked by Nefarian with guarding the numerous black dragon eggs. To carry on with this task, Razorgore was given control of a battalion of Blackrock Orcs, and will stop at nothing to ensure his master's will is done.
Plan:
- On Pull Kill 3 adds & get tank on Orb.
- We hide to the left of ramp for the egg phase.
- There will be no adds spawned.
- Main tank will destroy eggs.
- When eggs are gone. Main tank (orb tank) moves to ground in front of orb.
- Off tanks to the right of boss, DPS behind.
- Use the platform the Orb is on to LoS Fireball volleys.
Vaelastrasz the Corrupt
Vaelastrasz the Corrupt is the second boss in Blackwing Lair. After helping players obtain the Seal of Ascension Seal of Ascension under the guise of Vaelan, the red dragon tracked down Nefarian and engaged the black dragon in direct confrontation. However, he was swiftly empowered by the lord of Blackwing Lair, only having enough time to empower adventurers with a fraction of his power before falling for the black dragon's corruption. Now controlled by Nefarian, players must put Vaelastrasz out of his misery.
PLAN:
Will cast burning adrenaline ~8 seconds after fight starts. The person who gets debuffed with Burning Adrenaline will move to the bomb location. This will cast again every ~10 seconds. Expect three to exist during the fight. Be prepared to move to the tail of the dragon, the back of the room, the location marked with skull in the image, follow the path of "bomb".

Broodlord Lashlayer
Broodlord Lashlayer is the third boss in Blackwing Lair. This Drakonid is one of Nefarian's higher-in-command soldiers, and guards the infamous Suppression Room. The fight against Lashlayer himself is not that complicated, the only real challenge being managing threat, as he reduces tank threat constantly.
PLAN:
The boss will threat wipe with a cleave. anyone affected is threat wiped for 50% of their current threat. OT's stay in melee camp. Move to tank position when you have agro.
Do not stand on tank position you will share the threat wipe.
Keep the boss facing wall to the right of where he stands.
Melee dps keep your back to the wall; do not get knocked into an ocean of whelps.
Ranged dps near the gate.
Firemaw
Firemaw is the fourth boss in Blackwing Lair. He shares a loot table with two other drakes in the instance--while all three can drop tier gloves, they also can drop no gloves at all, making tier 2 gloves the hardest piece of the set to obtain.
PLAN:
Tanks no more than 10 stacks! If you are main tanking call an OT to tank while you drop stacks if you're over 10. This is will kill you.
- Tanks Wear Ony Cloak
- Main tank MINIMUM! 215+ BASE Fire resistance. (315 hard cap).
- Shaman in tank group with fire res totem is very important for this fight.
- The "Become Immune To Fire" trinket from MC will REMOVE all current flame buffet stacks.
Off tanks stay out until about 6 seconds before wing buffet.
Once in position taunt TWO SECONDS before wing buffet.
DPS ; do not stack more than 5 flame buffet debuff. At five stacks of debuff MOVE to reset.
Healers on tank side; Move to keep main tank alive. Always try to reset to hugging wall and LoS the boss.
Healers on dps side; Keep the dps who reset stacks alive.

Ebonroc
Ebonroc is the fifth boss in Blackwing Lair. He shares a loot table with two other drakes in the instance--while all three can drop tier gloves, they also can drop no gloves at all, making tier 2 gloves the hardest piece of the set to obtain.
PLAN:
Tanks will become debuffed.
-
Tanks Wear Ony Cloak
- Assign Tank 1 , Tank 2, Tank 3.
- When Tank 1 has debuff Tank 2 taunts.
- When Tank 2 has debuff Tank 3 taunts.
- When Tank 3 has debuff tank 1 taunts.
Do not leave boss auto attacking a debuffed tank.
Wing buffet will happen once or twice during the fight. Ensure tanks are spread similar to the graphic.
Wing buffet must not be cast on the "Center" tank; it must be the left or the right tank.
When you are buffeted out wait for your rotation to taunt back in.
Do not over threat the tanks.
Flamegor
Flamegor is the sixth boss in Blackwing Lair. He shares a loot table with two other drakes in the instance--while all three can drop tier gloves, they also can drop no gloves at all, making tier 2 gloves the hardest piece of the set to obtain.
PLAN:
The boss on pull will begin to stack "Thrash" which gives the boss additional auto attacks on its next hit.
The travel time between where the boss resides and where we intend to fight will allow several stacks of "Thrash" which need to be "dumped" onto a pet.
The warlock pet has an AoE taunt and this boss is tauntable. The goal is to park the pet on ramp and taunt when boss passes. This will "dump" the stacks onto the pet and allow a tank to safely pickup.
The main tank will taunt with back to the wall in the top of the graphic.
Off tanks will be on the right of the boss in the graphic, taunt for the wing buffets.
Hunters will need to discuss a tranq rotation

Chomaggus
Chromaggus is the seventh boss in Blackwing Lair, the last guardian before facing Nefarian. This two-headed beast is Nefarian's personal pet, unleashed upon the adventurers.
PLAN:
The fight will start with Ranged and Melee dps in their "Hide" spots.
The Tank will be summoned; walk to press the lever ; accept summon.
The tank will need a threat lead. The boss is not taunt-able.
~15 seconds after fight start the first breath will go out.
In the graphic below Red arrow will point to the "hide" spot and Green arrow points to the "not hide" spot..
Four of the breaths will require the Ranged, Melee, AND healers to hide.
- Black (hide)
- Blue (hide)
- Green (hide)
- Red (hide)
One of the four breaths require MELEE and RANGED to stay in. Healers and Off tanks will "Hide".
Bronze Time Lapse: Stuns for 6 seconds, reducing health by 50% and halving generated aggro for the duration.
If Time Lapse is active the boss will turn to the higest threat that is in a "hide" position. The off tank should be behind Chromag to the right (Graphic) to allow healers to not LoS after tank swap.
Sands will need to be saved for boss 20% HP -> 0% HP. We do not want to be stunned during the enrage phase.
Debuff Must Be Cleared. Shaman per group is best. Always focus dispells
Nefarian
Nefarian is the eighth and final boss of Blackwing Lair. Under the guise of Lord Victor Nefarius, Nefarian fights over the control of Blackrock Mountain with the elemental lord Ragnaros, and uses the fortress as a place to follow through with his mad experiments, which includes creating an entirely new dragonflight with the powers of all dragonflights, combined.
Phase 1:
Groups will split :
- 1 , 3 , 5 , 7 Left.
- 2 , 4 , 6 , 8 Right.
Arrange groups will split evenly ; allow for landing party to leave and the side remain functional with tank/heal/dps.
Landing party will require at least one fear ward.
On fight start be on your groups side.
Kill draconic adds; CC mind controls (Fear/Blind/Sheep).
If one side is having adds build up .. more than 2 up at a time please call for assistance and try to move players to adjust. These adds need to die quickly.
Landing party will move into position at 20 of 30 drakes killed. Bigwigs will announce Landing Party. Groups left and right will continue to clear while Nef lands and is positioned by landing party. Keep Fear Ward Up! Keep removing curse from tank!
Phase 2:
Keep Fear Ward Up! Keep removing curse from tank!
Class Calls: Please listen for class calls in discord. This fight is not a race, We MUST keep our tank fear warded and remove curse(-75% Healing). During the fight it is highly likely we will call to stop dps. PLEASE DO NOT DAMAGE THE BOSS WHEN WE CALL DPS STOP. There are mechanics that will wipe us of we push 20% HP on boss during the wrong class call.
Class Calls:
- Priest : Your heals become corrupted. Direct healing will deal damage and place a damage of time debuff on the target. You MUST NOT heal during priest class call. Only Bubble. This server is bugged and class call will affect renew. Please stop renew ~8 seconds before each class call. Only renew in the first 22 seconds of class calls that are not priest.
- Shaman : You become corrupted and spawn totems. Please move away from the boss. Stack on healers and EVERYONE must clear totems. If shaman class call totems exist during the add spawn phase when Boss reaches 20% HP we will wipe.
- Druid : You become a cat until end of class call.
- Hunter : Your ranged weapon breaks.
- Warrior : You enter beserker stance; unable to change until call ends.
- Mage : You must hide from your party. You will polymorph friendly targets in line of sight. Hide behind Pillars.
- Warlock : Infernals will spawn; everyone must kill these.
- Rogue : You will teleport likely to your death. It is possible for tank to move the boss slightly to prevent the shadow flame breath from damaging the teleported rogues.
Phase 3:
Keep Fear Ward Up! Keep removing curse from tank!
When the boss reaches 20% HP the phase 1 adds respawn as skeletons and will attack the healers.
We will need classes with AoE taunts to walk to the healers and prepare to Lip & AoE Taunt the adds.
These must be cleared during the AoE taunt duration. Stratholm holy waters(They're Undead) & AoE work great.
Keep Fear Ward Up! Keep removing curse from tank!
